What's Offered:
Career education helps lay the ground work for future career development. It helps students learn about their interests, aptitudes, and skills, and develop a positive attitude toward work. Thanksgiving Point's career experiences give students an in-depth look at a variety of careers. After a DNA extraction activity, one career education student told a counselor, “I think I might really become a scientist! This was cool!”
They have three tours approximately 90 minutes each. Options explored: agriculture, horticulture, retail, food service, paleontology and more.
