Salt Lake Water Treatment Facility

What's Offered:

See how the treatment facility is treating wastewater and stormwater before it is released again and recycled. Ever wonder where the water goes after you do the dishes or flush the toilet? And what happens to all the “stuff” in the water?  The 45-minute guided tour takes you through all the steps needed to remove “stuff” and treat the water to the degree that it is safe enough to send it off to be recycled. Great for kids to learn where all the icky water goes and how it is recycled.  Can get stinky at times.  But they never forget it.
