Library Tours

What's Offered:

Come see the beautiful Library and learn about their programs and services. These tours last about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how much you want to see. Parties larger than 20 will be divided into smaller groups. All tours must be requested at least one week in advance. For more information, please call the Reference Desk  or Children's Department depending upon your student's needs- Get an overview of the whole library, including highlights of the history and a quick tour of the Library departments. Get the insider’s view of the Library facilities and programs for adults and teens. If there are special topics you would like covered during your tour, please mention them when you call.

For younger children, tours can also include the following:

  • What is a library?
  • How do I get a library card?
  • Book care
  • History of the book
  • Computer demonstration
  • Reading of a new picture book

Our favorite tour was where all the books were at and the different sections. Ask for scout tour if they are unsure of what to show you.   My favorite was learning how the rebind the books.
