What's Offered:
The United States Army, Mormon Pioneers, Stagecoach Travelers, and the Pony Express met at Camp Floyd and the town of Fairfield. The Army arrived in 1858 and constructed Camp Floyd to suppress a supposed Mormon rebellion. The Army remained here for three years before being recalled for the Civil War. Today, Camp Floyd State Park features three structures and a cemetery. Visit the museum and Stagecoach Inn and learn about this nationally important historic site. But if you can't do the three day camp, you have other options: Camp floyd days and the School field trip they offer for groups of 100. At the end of August, Camp FLoyd Days, they have reenactments, encampments, stagecoach rides (Monday 12pm to 2pm), firearm and cannon demonstrations, marches, drills, 1861 period games, and photos in period uniform.
